Restaurant De Taanketel is a brasserie located in Marken, where approachable and flavorful dishes are served in a relaxed, informal setting. The establishment is run by owner and chef Erwin van Altena, who grew up in Marken and fulfilled a lifelong dream by taking over the former restaurant De Taanderij in 2015. The name was changed in 2016 to Brasserie De Taanketel in honour of the building's history. The restaurant emphasizes local products and offers lunch, dinner, coffee with pastries, and a wide seasonal brasserie-style menu.
